Robbie Vorhaus

For more than three decades, Robbie Vorhaus has maintained a consistent and widespread international reputation as a leading authority on crisis and reputation management and related critical matters for leaders worldwide. Vorhaus remains dedicated to providing expert guidance to his clients, assisting them in effectively maneuvering through significant crises, reputation-related concerns, and communication hurdles. His clientele includes the Fortune 500, major sports teams, governments globally, NGOs, Royalty, renowned brands, notable personalities, and other significant entities.

Vorhaus, a former journalist, is also a writer, lecturer, columnist, teacher, and media commentator. Vorhaus is the author of the bestselling self-help book, One Less. One More. He is also widely known for his catchphrase, “Truth is the Ultimate Spin.”

Vorhaus is the founder and principal of Vorhaus Communications, Inc., a PR/media, corporate and crisis communications consultancy he founded in 1989, providing senior and executive level analysis, counsel, strategy, brand integrity, and operational support in the area of corporate communications, public relations, crisis and reputation management, public policy and initiatives, along with legacy public and media relations and crisis training.

Vorhaus also served many years as an adjunct Communications and Public Relations professor at New York University’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies and is presently a guest lecturer at The Moody College of Communications at The University of Texas at Austin

In October 1989, Vorhaus left the CBS Broadcast Group to launch Vorhaus Public Relations, Inc.  At CBS Television and CBS News, he held various jobs in corporate communications, advertising, and promotion, and for several years was a headline producer for the “CBS Evening News with Dan Rather.”

As a journalist, from 1986-1987, Vorhaus became embedded as a New York City Police Department anti-crime, undercover police officer, patrolling the New York City subway system citywide.  Also, as a journalist, Vorhaus worked in various jobs ranging from a baker in the fabled Parisian bakery, Poilâne, a wine apprentice at Chateau Reynier outside Bordeaux, France, as well as an overnight clerk in a 7-11, a worker in a thread factory, a carnival construction worker, and a disco bouncer.
